What would you call this color?

This is Laguez. I got him earlier this evening due to my rooster, Biscotti, getting killed by an eagle while protecting the flock this morning.

Laguez is a silkie x Cochin, little under a year. What would you call his coloration? Is he mottled?

He is beautiful!!

I would guess yes, mottled as partridge isn't even close, but mottled I'm not sure includes so many colors that he has. He's just gorgeous!

ohh is mottling not just the drop looking marks on his chest? I was almost positive that’s what it was

My guess is the Cochin was a mottled Cochin and the silkie was buff or partridge giving the brown leakage- I’m not positive though

I never would’ve thought of that!! So I could call him a pet quality silver laced duckwing silkie x Cochin?

Obviously his chicks will be sold as BYMs but I like to have sheets of all my flocks information incase anyone wants to know about their genetics
