Hey guys... The devestating truth is I took the gamble, and ended up with a cockerel... It's all a very pitiful story, but at short, I have a year old, rough, unfriendly, and potentially agressive buff orpington rooster that I got from someone, and I have a young, 10wk old, sweet, cuddling blue laced red Wyandotte cockerel... I have 9 hens and 5 pullets, and not free range, so I can't keep both... Butchering IS NOT AN OPTION!

Either build a bachelor pad or offer him up on Craigs List. The Wyandotte may or may not continue cuddling once his hormones kick in.
Thanks
I'm not sure how close i am to you but I'd take your blrw if you are not in a hurry. I'm not thinking of getting a BO rooster at all. Plus my pullets are too young. P M me if you want to discuss.
thanks, if it comes to that, I will let you know.

Rehome or separate... And if you think your BO roo is agressive, Then I would try it out with the BLRW cock.
thanks... I don't know if I can rehome the BO.. his owners were so nice, and I promised him a good home:(

My Golden Laced Wyandotte rooster was one of the best roosters I've ever had. He ruled my flock for over 7 years. So my choice of your two roosters would be the Wyandotte. I've had good Orpingtons too but since yours is already a problem he's not likely to get any better. Since you won't butcher him and don't want to rehome him your only option is to build him his own coop and keep him separate. He may have an attitude adjustment if he has to live by himself and you are his only company. ;)

HIs owners and he are not one in the same. They could be great and you'd like them to live with you but the cock bird is another story. Give him away for free and don't ask what they are doing with him. Feeding people is a good home too.

I have a BO That I may not keep either, just got a bunch of new birds and special ordered 2 rooster chicks Below is a spitzenhauben rooster from Meyers...

I have 2 girl spitzenhaubens. (I have other hens, but just 2 in Spitz) This Spitz if very friendly- course he is 2 days old...

I may keep both, or just decide where I want to go when I get there, but I plan on having a fun ride until then.
