What would you do if yoy won the lottery???

Terrie is absolutely correct with the keep quiet part. Although I have a very small family (both parents were only children, grandparents are gone, we've moved far away from what was left of any family) someone may crawl out of the woodwork!

What would I do? Depends on how large the win was.

1) Pay off all debts

2) Pay off the mortgage on my little sister's house (she's a struggling divorced mother of two)

3) Get my eldest son settled better than he is (it's a long story!)

4) Contact a builder to have every single little thing I've ever wanted done to this house done (been here for 30 years, I've got a long list!)

5) Set up trust funds for my nieces and nephews (and one grand niece!). Other than what I'd do for my sister, that's all the family money that would be disbursed. Nothing to my two bothers - they have enough! My mother is all set for money, she just needs to find the fountain of youth!

6) Find some land and build my dream green home with a huge masonry heater in the center of the house, lots of solar, south facing windows overlooking my new farm!

This one is contingent on me being able to leave this house, my roots run deep here!

7) Build a barn to house hubby's new tractor.

8) Find some land on a lake up in Maine to build a second home on, that's hubby's dream and we need it fulfilled.

9) Plan on staying home and doing what I love to do - putter around the garden, take care of my chickens, and just have time to myself, however,

10) I'd definitely travel, I want hubby to go to England with me and really spend time touring around the countryside, up into Ireland, then on to Scotland. The history there fascinates me, nevermind the gardens!

But you know when this will all happen

I'd open a restaurant.
"Hale's Kitchen"

With a menu that reads....
"BREAKFAST"
"LUNCH"
"DINNER"

"YOU GET WHATEVER IM COOKING"
"Just like Moma used to make....Now sit up and eat your peas."

But Really... It will be a "fix-prix" menu that changes daily, weekly, and seasonal.

Hubby and I talk about this occassionally.
We would:
Pay off all debts
Help our parents
My Niece & Nephew as well as his nephews and nieces would get some
My Sister would get some
We would buy about 30 acres somewhere and build our house
We would also build a house for my Chicken Buddy and her Hubby
I have 2 good friends that would be helped
I would build my barn, covered arena and all my chicken houses just like I want them.
My Dogs could all go to obedience School and learn to act right and not like spoiled brats

I would like to travel Hawaii, England and Ireland

Then I would sit back, relax and live my life. We are pretty frugal anyway.

1- Pay off debt.
2- Buy a local ranch that I know of and turn it into a game sanctuary.
3- Establish a trust for the above sanctuary.
4- Build a green house, off grid on the property.
5- Buy my kids a home of their own so no matter the economy they'll have a place to hang their hat.
6-Establish a trust for my kids.
7-Have more time to play with my ducks and chickens.
8- Take my Mom traveling. She's never had the money to do that.
9-Adopt more parrots and build a large aviary for them.

Oh, daydreaming--what fun!

Pay off all the debt and stick a chunk of money in savings.

Clear and fence my whole front 4 acres and put a small barn on it.

Pave our gravel rd.

Build a detached garage next to the house and put a nice big concrete pad in front of it.

Pay a handyman to do all the niggling little things that need to be done around here.

Haul my parent's camper out of the front yard and build them a nice little guest cottage to live in.

Get goats.

Give our church a chunk of money to do all the physical plant stuff that really needs doing like building a little addition to put an elevator in.

Find some local people with problems that can be solved by throwing money at them, and throw some money at them!

Quit doing the grocery shopping at Walmart and start doing it at the local coop--but I'll keep right on shopping at Goodwill!

Travel! Travel! Travel!

Since I don't have God's address to send any $$$ His way, I'd just have to give most of it to poor people. I'd start with the poor people in my family... Then I'd get some to my poor neighbors, here in Mid-Michigan.

I wish we would....

First I would by the property right next door to us (its for sale... 7 acres ). So my mom could live there and we could have more land for the kids to run around on, they want 4-wheelers so then they would have the room to ride them.

Dd14 would love a horse.... so I would get us some

Put money away for the kids college ( we have 4

Help out our families.

Payoff our house and car

Take a nice family vacation this summer.

Bank the rest and use it wisely. I would still live the same way I do now, big garden in the summer, do my canning, baking, bird watching, crocheting.....
