What would you do? Selling birds exposed to disease...

if and when you have knowledge of this type of scenario, REPORT it to the State. it doesn't do any good to question the ethics of it but not do anything.

the key here is knowledge and proof. no one wants disease and to not report it is basically allowing it.

(i'm not suggesting the OP is NOT doing something, i'm suggesting that ANYONE in this boat should report it to their State.)

That's exactly what I was trying to say.

and you had another very good point. letting a mod know if there is proof yadda yadda, will allow them to take it into consideration and whether they should take action or not to protect the board.

Guys, that is exactly what I have done. I figured no matter what I said or did I would end up being the bad guy here. I have spoken to one of the moderators, PM'ed the information to them, and they are waiting to speak to some of the other staff. I did not just post cryptically and do nothing about it.

FYI- I have also emailed the seller, very openly and nicely voicing my concern. I had emailed them early on and the email came back undeliverable, so I just tried again.

I want to believe the best about the seller and give them the benefit of the doubt without naming them. Maybe they just don't realize the risk with selling the birds (or maybe they don't agree there is a risk). Who knows. What I do know is that the seller seems to be well liked and always seems nice online, so I don't want to get too carried away and form a lynch mob. One of the moderators has also asked me to not name the seller at this point, so that is further incentive to not do it.
