Maybe I'm just the biggest jerk on the planet but I really can't see me donating more than what is allowed to be written off on taxes. If anything I'd start my own free range animal shelter and rehabilitate and adopt out animals. Id file it as a 503b non profit business and continue to make more money with government subsidies. Thats how all those non for profit "charities" work

I suppose get a little modest cabin and farm somewhere, probably Canada or Alaska, or with that kind of money why not both. Give lots of money to my brother, have a college fund for my nephew. Give some money to my parents, I don't know if I'd give a crazy amount as I don't trust their judgement to spend it reasonably, but I would get them a nice house, car, whatever they needed. Money to some close friends.. Spoil my animals. I'm sure lots would go to charity, I'd have to do lots of research to find some that I would trust though.. probably some to autism research. Oh and I'd start a wildlife rehabilitation center, and animal hospital.

I'd get my knees done, set aside college $ for grandkids, buy a storefront in town and set up a proper bakery(we don't have one), put money in trust for our 2 kids,

I'd like a big piece of land, as rural as it can get, snuggled near mountains. I'd build my house (no McMansion here!), a barn, and a coop. Then I'm off to buy a nice older horse to retire with, some more chickens (because chicken math), and maybe a cow or 2 (they're cute). Then I can relax, after the chores are done.
I'd put the rest in trust for my son, and trust he'd do the right thing with it.
