What would you do?

Call them again, if you don't get the responce you want, call your local news station. I'm sure they have a consumer person that goes out and harrasses companies that don't follow thru on what they promise to do.

You should be able to complain to someone about these guys.

How long have you been "Renting to own"?

Call the people who are responsible for the warranty... (magtag or whoever..)
have them come and fix it...

I've been renting to own this awesome piece of machinery since Nov. '08... I had no problems until feb.

Understood, but if you can get a used washer for $50 and it breaks, get another one. It should still be cheaper than the rent to own route. I find the older top loaders last a long time - alot of the new machines break down after a few years. Since the op needs a stackable unit, I can see that would be difficult to find used, but I'd still keep my eyes open in the local papers/craigslist for one.

ETA: What is "people like us"? I'm a people too!

Even thought it is a rent to own..it still has to have a warranty on it from the maker....
call the washing maching maker... tell them the run around you are getting from the rent to own place... i bet if it is still covered under warrenty they will come out and fix it...

They come out and fix it, one of my beefs with this place is it breaks down weekly, sometimes more often than that, and then I gotta got to a laundrymat, and I still get to pay over $120.00 a month for it. which comes out to almost 3 grand when its all said and done.

ROFL if that ain't the worst idea that I ever heard of!!!!!! I have a story on ripoff report.com about my whole ordeal trying to get a washing machine repaired, and finally replaced.

I am SO TOTALLY OVER expensive washing machines. I'm with the TipsyDog --- if this one breaks I can just buy a new one next week without all the warrenty hastle, and not have half of my life savings invested in it!!!!!!!! What's even better?? If you buy a machine for $50 used, and you sell the old one for scrap metal so you get some of your money back!!

I would push to repair or replace. If that does not work out pay off and make a big stink about this companies pratices online. A lot of people will consider reviews before they use a company.

Can you work on your credit enough to qualify for a home depot/lowes credit card?Sears is OK too I guess. We got a washer through HD and had no payments for 6 months, but we paid it off in 5 months. My last washer was a fisher paykel that was neat but tore my cloths and was repaired about 4 times before it died after 8 years. It was around a grand when we bought it.

A small multi tier drying rack holds a lot and works well to save you a wee bit.Hand washing sucks.BTDT while living in Eurpore.

Sorry you are having so many issues. To pay 120 a month is so much for a product that keeps breaking. They owe you better but as a poor business they will try to get away with less.Like my roofer that ignored a leak 4 months after install. His 10 year warranty is such a joke, but he still touts it in ads!
