Thanks everyone, that's what I needed to know. Did it happen here or were they infected before we got them. I'm not familiar with incubation times for various chicken illnesses so I was not sure.
My daughter and I have reconciled ourselves that we will do some nursing care, try to fix the feet, the "eye" bird is doing much better...almost back to normal...eating, drinking pooping, no problems, and even "sniffles" is markedly improved.
I think I just freaked for a day when it seemed that everything we bought that day was going downhill. We've gotten a grip on the situation now and we feel much better about how things are going.
