Would you help me name my new Black laced golden Wyandottes that laid their first egg? The one has a purple or lavender leg band and her letter is H. What name starts with the letter H and reminds you of purple or lavender? She is a big girl. The last one which hasn't laid yet, but will get a yellow leg band and the letter J. What name starts with the letter J and reminds you of yellow? She is a smaller hen.

I can't really think of any chicken names I've used that start with H except for Hallie and Henrietta. For J maybe Jasmine or Jasper or Janet...

Heliotrope. The scent of that purple flower is heavenly. I used to buy heliotrope scented perfume in high school, but haven't seen it in ages. OK, may not be the best name, but it came to mind immediately.
