What would you sell mixed color call ducks for?

I'm just sure to tell the people that my "mixed" ducklings are 100% Call ducks but are from when all my ducks were in together, so they may or may not throw true if they are bred. I let them decide for themselves what they want...around here, Calls of any color or stripe are in pretty high demand. I still have about 10 left and I'm not pushing them too hard at this point because I don't think I'd mind seeing some of these mature.

Not sure what I will price my pure colored Calls at...I have a while to decide, they are due to start pipping tomorrow...6 eggs, 5 of which were still looking good today. My next group will be in the second week of May. These I plan on retaining all of until they have some maturity on them so I can decide what to hold back for my own pens.

I'd say $5 for mixed colors, $15 or more for pure colors. More for good quality/bloodlines.

You'd be surprised how many people want the mixed colors...and by this I mean *really* mixed loud colors, not just an otherwise pure color that came out of a group of Calls running together. I guess I would like that too if I wasn't breeding and showing...they have merit as far as colorfulness and beauty go. There's a big faction of people out there that just want pretty, colorful and friendly ducks. The loud spotted ones that weren't what a breeder would look for were my first to sell every time...I know they were my husband's favorites!
