What would your dream kitchen have....

Pictures please!!!!

I do not wear a cap. I wear a hanging style solid veil though.
If you are familiar with the Charity Church, that is the style I wear.
No denomination here. We attend a conservative house church, that is family integrated.

I had to laugh when I seen this topic. Because just this morning our refrigerator went out! I called a repair man and he said it sounded like a fuse problem and it would be very easy and fast to fix. However he can't make here until tomorrow morning. That wasn't soon enough for my dear husband and so he set out to fix this massive appliance himself. I tell him --as I always do "leave it alone you'll make it worse or hurt yourself" --He never listens. Later I hear a pop and "OUCH!" come from my kitchen, I run in to see what he has done this time --because it's always something. I found my husband with the fridge pulled out, surrounded by tools, and sitting on the floor shaking his hand like it just got shocked. --It did, just get shocked. /sigh I call the repair man back and tell him what my "helpful" husband did and the man Laughs at me, and says "Lady, it would be cheaper for you to go buy a new one then have me come out there and rebuild it!"

So to answer the question what I would like to have in my kitchen? A Refrigerator!
But the real question is What would I like OUT of my kitchen? My husband!

I can't help but love him but sometimes...

HAHAH!

What would my dream kitchen have? That's easy. A cook that wasn't me. I used to have one. My brother. But now he is going to culinary school and he's too busy with homework and all to cook.

And a real walk-in pantry!

I've already redone my kitchen once, but I didn't get the stove I want, and mine is 15 years old now, so it's time for a new one. This time I want good granite counters, dual fuel stove with a gas cooktop, and I'll convert the closet I use right now as a pantry into a proper pantry that opens into the kitchen. My cabinet doors need replacing (the guy who built them was a jerk, long story), and I'll fix the refrigerator space so I can fit a 36" wide french door refrigerator in there with a freezer on the bottom. I'm happy with my sink and faucet and its placement. I want a new floor, though, my old linoleum has lived through two boys and all of our activities and it's definitely time to replace it.

Bargain is the only one who mentioned the one thing. other than more space, with a better arrangement, that I really want. That is a prep sink/food sink separate from the dishwashing sink. I would love to have a sink where I can wash veggies, and not have to move dishes or wash dishes to clean the veg.

Other than that, I would like a bigger kitchen, with drawers, not cupboards. The top can have cupboards, but I want a more open, bigger kitchen than what I have. I would like better storage for things like sheet pans and cutting boards, and I would like the cupboards to have more flexible shelving options than I currently have. I would also like better lighting. I love my range; it has a gas cook top and two ovens. One oven is small, the other is full sized. That means that I can cook a casserole in the summer without heating up the entire house.

I want a walk in pantry.
One of those fresh keeper drawers. We don't need a big fridge and actually when I bought a new one for this house I downsized!
I want stone flooring and an old farm sink, those really deep ones.
I want open cupboards as that will keep me from getting to much junk. lol
Recessed lighting and lots of windows!
Breakfast nook.
A central island stove or a stove that looks like one of those old cast iron stoves.

A heavy duty electrical meat slicer
At least 2 ovens and 8 burners
A large walk in pantry a place that allows easy access to seldom used appliances

A relatively compact way of storing seldom used/ seasonal utensils in a single layer. If I could figure out a way to do that I could stop pucturing my fingers on cornholders while trying to locate a melonballer.

Put those corn holders in one of those Glad "disposable" containers with a lid
