What would your dream kitchen have....

A killer attack robot that keeps my son and my husband OUT

If I could have anything, I wish mine were a little bigger so I could get an island in there. Everything else in my kitchen is fine and makes me happy. (Though I would spurge on some granite counters if I could.)

Room and everything my hubby needed to cook.....Or on the days when I cook, a maid, 2 dishwashers, so I never had to unload one, a warming oven for bread to rise, a humongous 12 stove eye gas range, dual fueled with also electric and wood, depending on our cheapest fuel source. Room for a freezer and a small oven for (fireplace) for baking breads and pizza and also bbq, room for a rocker and a window seat.... Bookshelves for the fav books, a drop down screen for searching those receipes on the net

A floor that had a whole in the middle for complete hose down. A refrigerator that was self cleaning... Lots of plug ins. Lots of windows....A window herb garden..... Open stainless steel shelves (makes me keep uncluttered) Lots of large shelves for those big big stew pots and canners.

Stainless steel sinks (deep commercial) and stainless countertops.....

My husband did 80% of these on our suburban home...We traded it for our farm......I don't miss much about that house other than that kitchen (we both made some of the cabinets...and that lovely backyard complete with a fern garden and huge pond of koi (he hand dug the pond.)

Nice to remember.............

a big bay window for me to grow my basil, cilantro, oregano, parsley, catnip, spearmint, peppermint, etc herbs, a double in the wall oven, a huge island with a sink and cooktop in the middle of it, either a stone, cement or copper sink, big hood over the cooktop (copper - hey if we're dreaming big..

), drawers in each pantry on the bottom so I could pull out what I need instead of having to dig for it, radiant heating for the winters (cooling for summers), someone mentioned a drain in the floor - I kinda like that idea too LOL, either glass tile for a backsplash or Italian tile or a neat mural for a backsplash...

magnetic bars for my knives (better knives too!), fresh roasted beans for my super duper coffee maker, oh Lordie, I can think of all sorts of stuff I'd like in my kitchen LOL

Yup forgot the magnetic hanging thingie for the kinves...

Definitely a work station with separate sink!!!

And a huge butcher block table for making pies, pastries, etc....

And a huge wall with pegboard, like julia child had for hanging fav utensilts, pots and pans etc.

Ah well, I'll just turn the living room into the kitchen (that's basically what we did with our other kitchen, we took walls down and added in the living room and eating area (on and added a custom eating bench area (like at the restaurants and a swivel out tv so we could watch tv and veg out....

It was great.....I'll try to dig up some photos if I can find them..

Have a stove with more than two burners and the oven door shuts without having to lift up first.

counter space....counter space....counter space

I swear I have the worlds smallest kitchen. I want to at least double the size, a new fridge with the freezer on the bottom, an island would be nice. A kitchen aid mixer with attachments, jack lalane juicer and one of those fridge drawers for juice boxes and such. Oh and a new dishwasher, the double drawer one.

Stone sink!!! Good idea.....

Ideally the sink would have a hand pumped water "faucet" instead of the traditional hot/cold water faucets but then I want an oldfashioned hand/foot powered wringer washing machine also, so some may think I am nuts.......I have actually found a company that sells the washing machines and when my front loader goes, I may just get one. I never use the dryer anyway - line dry or rack dry by the woodstove in the winter so it actually isn't such a stretch.
