@ Thanks Sweeties I am. Spent the morning with my chickensOMG I have chicks hatching.... so far 2 MF D'Uccles and 3 Blue Polish. Gonna let them stay in there awhile to dry. I REALLY want them to make it and D'Uccles seem to be as sensitive as silkies when first born. Have another 10-20 in the next few day to hatch.... I also got bored and decided to go through closets and organize after watching old reruns of "Clean House". I just love that Niecy. Found some things I wanted to share with you guys on the swap. I have not been shopping in a few weeks at the cool places like Hobby Lobby, Peir One, Kirklands......but I will maybe this weekend. Specially if it rains and I cannot do yard work. LOL![]()
My heart is full of memories, Life goes on and all we can do is make the best of it, treat each other good, perform random acts of kindness daily, remember to say I love you often.
I could go on and on but you guys know what I mean, after all you support has meant the world to me. Your an amazing bunch of big hearted guys and gals.
NOW, WHO WANTS TO DO SOME SwApPiNg????![]()

OoOoooooOOOOOOoooooooo Pauletta, cool new stuff. My swap bin is nearly empty, I need to restock as well or quit swapping.
I am finally down to my last batch of eggs to hatch, I am quitting for a few months after this; it's just too much work to keep up with chicks and chickens and home and work and life.
I'm finally back into the world of poultry. Went to the auction today and brought home seven dozen eggs, six made it to the incubator, the other dozen are for breakfast. I paid a whopping $6 for all seven. $1.75 for 1doz Barred Americanas, $2.25/doz Pekin duck eggs, $0.25/doz for bantams (look like serama eggs from my novice eye), $0.25/doz for random large brown eggs (half of which made it to the fridge, they looked tastey) and $1.50/3 doz EE eggs (about six made it to the fridge, figured the kids would enjoy eating eggs from blue eggs). I also have 30 button quail eggs coming from a soap swap, and 12 silkie/showgirl eggs (covered by a showgirl lavender roo) from another soap swap. I'm in heaven. The six dozen eggs only filled up one tray of my incubator... When I told the boyfriend this, he just said "how many pens are we going to have to build?" LOL!

If all those hatch.... wow lol
I just came in from stealing eggs from my ducks. I am a bit scared she is going to go broody before may swaps start. I am getting eggs every day from my big girls. I only get one every other day from my little girls. If the duck goes broody I wonder if I can use her to incubate my chicken eggs? Has anyone done this before?
