I woke up an hour ago to the thunder and lightning, but it passed with no rain. Now it is thundering, lightning, AND raining hard! We need rain, but not a hard rain.

We got 2 inches in 2 hours. I hope we didn't get that much at the farm the soybeans are just coming up. We are 10 miles from the farm and it's amazing how the weather/rainfall can differ.

We are supposed to get rain today. I'm really not sure it's going to happen though, very pretty outside. I hope we do, just if we do let it not be Thursday or Friday. I have to go pick up some Geese and I don't want to get wet...lol

Okay, so while I am okay with the rain we're FINALLY getting here in Central FLorida, I'm not fine with my first period class still being in my room. (we have outdoor passageways and the little darlings will get wet, slip on the stupid brick walkways, etc...). So, instead of them leaving here at 9:30, they're still here.

Could be worse, could be one of my more ornery classes....

I would glady send rain your way if it would stay away from here. We have had probably 12 inches in the last week - everything is overflowing and yards have become lakes. My chickens have become ducks

Hoping for a drying week so we're ready for Graduation this coming weekend.

Went to check my styrofoam incubator and opened it to cheeps. I had forgotten to write these eggs down in the calendar, so I didn't think I had anything hatching yet. Surprise, I have three pipped so far out of 8. And my other incubator had a very early hatched pheasant in it (6 days). I think I'm losing it!

silkymom - I am so sorry for your loss. Been there and done that several times and found that my hubby was great to lean on for support. You can get through this together!

At least the geese are waterproof, what kind of geese? I just sold 2 male white Chinese geese and used the money to buy a male Sebastopol to go with my saddle back gray & white Pom who is sitting on a nest of the eggs fathered by the Chinese the Sebastopol is waiting around like a good step father. I have a friend who is supposed to be getting me some lavender sebbie eggs. I need the crossing fingers smiley!

More Dewlap Toulouse. I love their giant bodies! They are huge goofballs that will just make you laugh till you cry. I was going to get Sebbies, but the DH thinks they are the ugliest things on the planet. I rather like them myself. Also with all the plans we have going with the big barn... I would not have the room to add more breeds of geese. I cannot really complain too much cause I have all the other barns & sheds filled with things I wanted :p. He also just made more rabbit hutches and spent his whole 4 day weekend doing everything on his "Honey-do" list. I am really blessed with a good man
