Heavy duty shop vac I think you can extract liquids , Maybe contact a carpet cleaning place they use those big van rigged shampoo things I bet they would have an extract to. If not lots of buckets and lots of towles Ugh how horrible Im so sorry. You could send some rain this way as well. We are always dry this ti9me of year

Okay - so we got over 9" of rain in the last 24 hours.  Roads washed out everywhere and lots underwater.  Not good at all!  We were lucky and only have to deal with water in the basement.  That is not good, because it's a finished basement and has always been very dry.  But I don't think we've had this amount of rain in such a short time - ever!  Anybody have any great ideas to clean the water out of the carpeting?  We are using a dehumidifier and fans, but were thinking of picking up a carpet cleaner and putting it on extract.  Are there any others ideas we can try?  I'm rather frustrated, I have boxes and boxes of my teaching stuff (books mostly) in one of the rooms and the bottom stuff is probably ruined (I've got quite a bit of money into it).  Urg!  I planned much better things to do this week :barnie   Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have a wet/dry vac (shop vac)? You could use that for now until you get the carpet cleaner. You will want to use a mold killer (vinegar works). I hate to say this, but you may need to remove the carpet, paint with Killz, and get new carpet. I hope not, though. Sorry about the teaching stuff. I just packed up my room and brought my stuff home yesterday. (It is sitting outside now because it doesn't know how to rain here.

Sorry to hear that cold. We are in a drought send some rain our way. All our crops are wilting in the fields.

Same here. All the rain breaks apart before it gets here or goes noth of us to ColdUpNorth.

I sent out my swap items today. 0311 2550 0003 1396 2740 . Let me know if anything happens with the shipping.
I got my eggs From Reese Poultry , That was quick thank you. The packageing was amazeing, The box was a bit batterd looking so I was worried but I only lost 3 eggs and as extras were sent I still have a good 53/54 eggs. So I figured I would finally post this so I don't have to tell each person I talk to....... My daughter has a rash called molluscus (?) Its a pimple like itchy rash that spreads by scratching like chicken pox. It usually runs its course in 6 months to a year then it goes away on its own. Its caused by a virus. We are going on 2 years with it. I make my kids practice really good hygene so luckily we havn't had anyone else get it but I don't know where she got it anyway..... Probably the playground?

Since its been so long the doctor decided to try to get rid of it. The only way to do it is to burn each 1 off with an acid like stuff. The actual procedure on friday didn't hurt at all and the doctor said to expect some minor pain and oozing or bleeding for a few days kind of like with chicken pox that have been scratched. By the time we got home though they looked like huge ozzing, bleeding blisters, like someone touched a cigarette to her over and over again all over her bottom and the back of her knees and legs. I felt so bad I cried because I let them do that to my little girl....... She had to wash the acid off the sores with mild soap and water after 6 hours. I had to force her into the shower and she screamed so hard she broke a bunch of blood vessels in her face so she has red freckles around her eyes and on her cheeks now....

I know its for the best though she might finally be done with it! It still kills me though to have to hurt the one I try so hard to protect......

They keep scabbing up so she has a hard time walking because it pulls on them and can't hardly sit still. She is 5 years old so keeping her down is impossible so they can't heal because she keeps breaking the scabs open as she walks or runs around...... And its worse because we are finally getting some nice warm weather and all she wants to do is go play outside in the sand box and at the park and I can't let her until they are heald...... All she can wear right now is 1 of my big sleep shirts and nothing else..... anything touching them is so irritating she can't stand it.

She is doing better though they are still sore and bleeding sometimes after almost a week now I think it will be another week until shes good enough to be able to sit on her butt and go places.... lol Worst part is my family all lives almost an hour away and we only have 1 really good neighbor, the rest are all weirdos and crazy people we don't talk to much so we dont leave our kids with them for anything..... We are the house all the neighborhood kids come to play at, and our 1 good neighbors have been out of town so I havn't been able to go anywhere or do anything because I can't take her with me..... and my DH has been working so much overtime by the time he gets home everything is closed and he leaves at 7am.......

So if I owe you a swap 2 people I believe I was not able to get it out this week as I couldn't get to the post office and it will have to wait until friday. My sister will be over and I will get the day to run errands finally!!!! I think I am going stur crazy being stuck in the house for a week now......
