Okay, I put some recent pics of the Eng Orp brood on our Coop/Chickens page. Really thing we have a blue/black girl and blue/black boy in Momma's young chicks. Oh, and the others are about 10-11 weeks old! Huge!! Love the pic of the EE buddies-for-hire (perfect term coined by Icelander) we got for the surviving chocolate chick who eventually died. They're sitting in the coop door wondering if the treats outside are worth venturing into Giantville

And, jumping on the botanical identification bandwagon, we got some seeds from Butchart Gardens and planted them earlier this year. Poppies?? The last is our rhubarb plant. It's huge, but not red. Can we eat it now??








 
Well My baby has been missing for almost a week now. Smokey just turned 13 Yrs old on the 20th. I have had him since he was 6 weeks old. Before my first born child. He was like one of my kids. He was the best cat I have ever owned. I fear he went off and died or worse he got hit by a car or the Coyote got him. He has never been gone this long before so I know he isn't coming back. He was an Indoor/Outdoor cat. he never needed a litter box he would come to you and let you know when he needed to go outside to go potty. The sad thing is I can't even give him a proper burial cause I can't find him. That makes 2 Dogs and 1 cat now I have lost within a years time. Boy what a Bad Luck streak I am having. Can't wait till the new year.

I'd say pictures 1 and 2 are poppies. 3 I don't know. As for the Rhubarb, some varieties are red while others are green.

So sorry Michelle. I'm fearing my indoor cats days are growing limited. They are 12 year old litter mates. One has lost an incredible amount of weight in the last couple months. The other has a bad eye. My dog who goes everywhere with me is 10 years old. She is a lab x boxer. She still acts like a pup most of the time. I fear losing them when the ground is frozen so I've been thinking I better have a hole prepared. I'd rather have it prepared and not need it than need it and not have it prepared.

Reese, I'm so sorry. I don't know what I'm gonna do when lhassa passes. She is our special needs kitty and also like my little baby.

Good luck on you still finding Smokey.
 
Oh Michelle...Im so sorry..ugh hugs hugs hugs...happened to my cat grwoing up;( and more hugs...

JIM You and I are twins!

Both my cats are 12 and 1 has gotten skinny..She was our chunkey monkey for years..13lbs...now down to 8 shes not boney..she eats and drinks...perfectly normal except for her weight loss;( Both my cats were litter mates and indoor cats to boot...my chihuahua is 13 right behind them he just went to the vet a few months ago because I thought he was having congestive heart failure..they couldnt find anything wrong with him..he gags and wheezes constantly, they said nothing is wrong with him again...ugh i have a bad feeling Ill be hit with a pretty empty house in the next year or two;(
