Since everyone on here are all chicken people of some kind or another, I was just wondering... do most of you collect chicken "stuff" as well? Collectibles, kitchen stuff...etc

Asking for prayers and healing wishes for my uncle. He's went from COPD to emphysema to needing lung transplants. He didn't qualify for many donor lists, but was finally able to get on one in Iowa. My aunt and uncle have been living down there since January and 2 weeks ago they were told that his condition was getting too bad and that they would probably be taking him off the list. Last Wednesday, they got a call that a donor was found. The doctors not only transplanted both lungs but they also did a heart bypass first. He is weak but doing really well. Just asking for prayers and healing thoughts for him. I am so amazed at the faith my aunt and uncle had that they could find a way through it all. I am also so amazed at the ability that we have to transplant lungs into another person and get it to work. I am especially grateful for the family that is missing their own loved one right now - they've given my uncle a chance.

They don't have much insurance to cover all this and have been living in a rental apartment when they went down there. They have never had much money but have always been hard workers. Not asking for money here - just prayers and kind words that things will work out for them. I think they all help in a postive way!

What a miracle to being that close to being taken off the list and then a donor to become available. Add to it a bypass too! That is a lot to go through! Prayers and well wishes are being sent!
