I do but I just made a swap on the egg swap/paypal page for some of them. I have 9 hens and 2 roos, if they get all willy nilly with it I may be able to send them. I will keep you posted.
I have a crazy method. I feed them fresh bread, mealworms, cooked rice and laying crumbles and BAM they share the love! LOLOLOLOL

I know it really has nothing to do with it. But I like to think it does.

They did go on vacation a week ago but I think that's because some crazy cold winds
came in and I put up the blue tarps to shield them.

I know you are just joking but this is why I never liked the poor hatch rate contests....too easy to game the system, even the best hatch rate could be "faked". It would be nice to think everyone here is completely honest but......human nature being what it is leaves doubts. I favor the ramdom drawing/date contests that allow everyone a chance. That said.....what a great prizes Pauletta!!

I thought about that too, but I think most people are honest, and if people want to steal (which is what they would be doing by cheating, or lying) than they will get their due eventually.


I am not even sure yet if I will be joining in. I keep changing my mind. It sounds like so much fun, but I think I will regret it in Feb with my basement full of half grown chicks.

Got my chick hat from coldupnorth today. It is adorable! It will make a great Christmas gift for my nephew. And thank you sooo much for all the extras. My kids were delighted!

NOTAFARM and SLEEPY OWL - I know whatcha mean. Sometimes shady stuff does happen. But this is why I love BYC, because IMO 99.8 % of the people are super, crazy, honest. We had a good year and I just wanted to do something nice. I trust the people running the NYD hatch and I just wanna believe it will be all good.

It is a tough game to keep honest.... Heck I think we have all been there. I wish I would have won a incubator last year but it would have only added to my addition and love of chickens. I borrowed a couple of my bestie's bator's last year and had 5 running at the same time. Then I put myself in a bind of where to put the ones needing to go into lockdown and had to go out and buy another. (But we won't mention that to my husband LOL)

I hatched a bunch. I did lose 60ish (if I remember right) to spoiled feed. Long story. Gave a bunch to my sister to start her on chickens. I think some may have gone to my bestie and a bunch I raised a few months and gave to 4H kids. Gosh I think they got 29 that day. It was soooooo much fun and soooooo crazy. I will never go through that again or put my hubby through it again. But WOW what a way to learn about hatching chicks. Bahahhahaha

And yes I totally agree with you about the name Gwendolyn. It's adorable. We named her Gwendolyn Delois Jesse Parker. The middle name Delois is my
Great Grandmother's, Grand Mother's, my mom's, mine and my daughters middle name so it was approriate my first GD got it. And Jesse is my Grandfather's first name. Because he rocked! So my lille korean has a super awesome name. It's such a petit name aye? I bet yours is awesome too!





I think most of us had kind of a rough 2012 for one reason or another and I am excited to to this year pass. But honestly, I know none of that matters
because at the end of the day we are crazy blessed. We have awesome kids, grandkids, chickens hatched in 2012, the great friends we made on BYC
and we may not be completely heathy, we still wake up everyday. I know my husband is thankful for everyday.
