Oh Patty! What an exciting and scary time. So happy for her! Keep us updated on her, she is going to do great things.

Oh my gosh, she is shipping out already. It doesn't seem that long ago that she started the process. Is she enjoying what she is doing so far? You must be very proud of all the hard work she has done to get where she is. If I remember right, she had some pretty impressive test scores to get into the type of job she might like. I'll continue to think about and pray for your family with this separation. May she have a safe journey.
She chose to work on Chinook helicopters and leaves for basic training tomorrow. She's excited. Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts.

Just wanted to share how proud I am of our oldest daughter. She finished her first semester at a university (not a small one either) and got a 4.0. She works 4-5 days a week as a waitress and still managed to have fun and study hard. She had some hard classes like Chemistry, Calculus, Biology and others. She definitely got her math abilities from her Dad or it skipped a generation through me (my mom and sister are pretty mathmatical).

I've got some eggs left folks. I have 5 splash, 5 sizzle, 2 from the porcelain pen but they could turn out splash, self blue of many shades. I've gotten quite a variety of blue shades. They are from a self blue hen and she's with the porcelain roo. I have 2 self blue hens and one puts out mostly splash and the other puts out the variety of self blues. I have a few i'm hoping are lavs. Then I have a couple eggs from the project pen that has a non crested sizzle hen and a WC blue bantam polish roo. I've gotten a variety of colors from them also. Only 1 crested but it looks more silkie so far but there are 3 very pretty frizzled chicks.

I'm offering to split the eggs I have now and add what ever I get today for $10 for the eggs and $13 for shipping. The silkies are SQ.

Have a question. I have 6 New Jersey Giant white chicks (almost 2 months old) 2 are roosters and 4 are pullets. I'm thinking of keeping one of the roosters so I can have fertile eggs. My question is: Would anyone be interested in swapping N.J. Giant eggs (in the future), or are these guys just too big for most people. I just love the personality of these guys and find them to be smarter than the serama and silkies I have that are the same age.
