I love craigslist, I went to go pick up some cheap laying hens today and a rooster and it turns out a quad of them were Silver Laced Wyandottes.

The others were Golden Comets & EE's. All Large Fowl.

Then I get home and of course I check Craigslist and I find a new posting for Scovy ducks right down the road from me and they had a pair of Calico ones. They look like a lavender and a chocolate mix. So I picked them up today too.

Ugh..... Does the addiction ever end. Hubby is going to kill me..................

Hello everyone.

I am back after a bit of illness.
I am physically feeling better but stuggling a bit emotionally but trying to remain strong.
Most of you know about me getting separated from my husband. and my daughter having a baby-
btw- Cyrus is doing well. I cant believe he is almost 5 months. he is eating food and trying to stand. he will walk before he crawls I am sure of it.

But i have had several biopsys and a D&C and the outcome is not good. I have been diagnosed with Uterine Cancer.
Just one more thing in my life. I will have surgery in March, and the Dr expects everything to go well and then I mostlikely will not need further treatments, as long as the cancer does not move anywhere else.

I wanted to come back and be surrounded by my friends here cause you all are the best

I will be sorting through my things as I go, and offering them for swapping. when i get the strength to do the sorting.

I am so sorry that you are going through this it's hard and I understand.

One of my co-workers went through this a couple of years ago. She caught it early and had a hysterectomy and went through chemo. SHe is almost 2 years out now, cancer free and doing very well... She was diagnosed within weeks of her husband leaving and filing for divorce, so she can certainly relate to the emotional stress... Stay strong!!

Sounds like that's her excuse the hoard hens and corner the market in your areaq.

No that's the weird thing! She doesn't want her eggs to be fertile anymore so she is selling all of her roosters. She is also willing to sell some hens but not together.
I want those birds...
