Alrighty guys, I'm going to leave this one up to you... Do you want to keep the new rule of requiring pictures of your birds to swap eggs, or...? I was thinking about it and while it might deter some folks from bad swapping, others might just steal pictures from online. :/ I realize that most of the swappers here are great folks, and I don't want to punish good swappers because of a bad egg or two. Now, if there are no pictures, I will require something else, like a permenant date on the eggs (lay date) or a screen name to identify the eggs (not just breeds alone) or something that would prevent some others from reshipping/reselling the eggs they receive. While, personally, I don't care if you get eggs and sell the chicks (IMO, when you get the chicks, they are your's, and we all have to sell birds at some point in time to make room for others, lol), but reshipping eggs is absolutely unacceptable. I don't want reshipped eggs (or poorly packed eggs), and I refuse to allow people to send others subpar/unviable eggs. Talking to some other people, I'm thinking that maybe pictures might be too much of a pain and the whole point is easily thwarted by stealing pictures. :/ So, up to you guys!!!

So what your saying is even if you get pictures they may not be that persons pictures? That anyone may find pics online and use them? Hmmmmmm well that's not right. So what we have here is the honor system. We just have to hope everyone will live up to it. I trust everyone until proven otherwise.

Glad you like the soaps. Let me know how you like the Fantasy Fudge. This was the 1st time I've tried that 1 & want to make sure it turns out ok (that was your extra sample bar, the little 1) before I make a bunch more. I like the baby powder scent for the babies. It makes them smell like...like....babies.

<hugs> i'm sorry you are loosing him. I hate it when they are hurt and you have to handle it. I can just do chicks myself, i cant deal with my bigger ones at all. I currently have a girl who has cancer, and I know we will have to cull her at some point, but she rallied and seems to be enjoying life, and is back outside. Not healthy, but i want to give her every last day she can have to bask in the sun...

If everyone writes dates & their username on eggs in sharpie that would completely solve the reshipping problem. No way to get sharpie off. Just a suggestion.

I was thinking this too, and I'm absolutely recommending it, however, eggs can come from anywhere without markings... While asking that people here mark eggs might save some folks, it would only prevent eggs from here being reshipped... meanwhile, someone could buy from ebay or swap on another thread and then ship these eggs to a member here. While I'm all for keeping other swaps safe, most importantly, I need to keep folks here safe.

Ok why would anyone go through the trouble and money to do that? Then ship them to someone else and take the risk of them being bad eggs plus pay for the eggs to be shipped seems like a lot of money for what?

I have a stamp that says "Made at Jangim" LOL "Jangim Poultry is our farms name. I also have chick stamps. From now on if you get an egg from me it will have a small chick stamped on it and have Jangim or AG written on it.

Agreed. I mean, how much money can you make, assuming that's the motivation, on that? What with shipping costs and all, maybe a buck or two?
