We should do a "highest bidder" swap. Someone posts what they have (ex, 12 hens choice eggs) and then people get to bid with their offers.. like, 6 pure orp... or a box of candy... or 12 feed bags. Then the person says SOLD to whomever's offer they like best I think that would be cool!

It's kind of easier to just swap eggs for eggs. It will cost me a bit more to send duck eggs than for my partner to send Ameraucana eggs but if I were offering 12 eggs and the highest bid I liked was the 12 feed bags, that wouldn't be fair when it comes to shipping it. I am assuming that you are talking about bags of feed not feed bags for like horses. Sylvia

I think the idea of an auction thread that isn't just eggs and that can be purchased with other goods, like a swap auction. You could start one in the auction section. I would do it, but with no computer it would be a smidge difficult.

That's a reverse auction or something. We could certainly do one, but I personally wouldn't want to host a continuous one. The one that was done before was for special occasions... anybody who signed up was organized, then one person was up for about five or ten minutes. They would post their goods, then anybody could offer a trade for that set of goods. Then the person who was up could choose or pass.
