Just wanted to let everyone know that all packages were mailed yesterday. Been having problems with the witch at my PO so I had to go to another one to send out my packages. I don't know where I put the DC tags, once I find them I will send everyone a PM.
I did get all my eggs, both packages of duck eggs and lots of chicken eggs LMAO! I will let everyone know how they do

good to know hot2pot, though I think that it should only be an issue if it is constantly repeated and I dislike pming everyone, so I would rather just remind people all at once in case they forgot. I know frank had said before he was sending them just thought he might have and they were lost in the mail, wouldnt be the first time that happened to me and I am having that kind of week anyway.

30 rooms of atleast 2 construction workers a piece, some had three, too many men and I am NOT a babysitter, they dont pay me enough to be going around dealing with grown men who know how to read a sign and cant seem to figure out that it is possible to lock the bathroom door when you arent in the bathroom, so dont shut the dang door.

I am SO glad that I only had to deal with them two days, I hope they dont come back next week.

they scare off all the good travelers with their drinking outside and smoking and annoying attempts at conversation by following people to their rooms and asking personal questions, not to mention all thing the hitting on me.

Do you feel better now? :-D Hope tomorrow is better for you. I think I am all caught up except NotSuperwoman's iris on the side trade. It finally rained here so now maybe I can dig them. I tried to have an iou, you owe me thread but it got removed. Whatever.

Can you post iou ,you owe me on your personal swap page? I dont really see what this hurts. It's just to help us remember what we've traded. I know it gets crazy some times and you trade so fast you dont know what you were supposed to get or give.

I am not sure what the regulations are on that. I think you can post what you owe, but probably not if someone owes you. You could probably put something like," I am waiting for amaryllis plants and pot holders." but not who owes them to you.

I went to the Post Office twice. The witch told me I could not wrap the boxes in paper. When I reuse a box that is still in good condition but had a label on it twice, I wrap it in heavy white wrapping paper. Never had a problem before til this wicked woman started working at the window. She told me "I cannot accept these packages wrapped in paper" That was a step back to me so I politely said when they fire you remember why they did it, you are forcing me to go to the UPS store LOL When the PO is having trouble staying afloat they really should not give us a hard time when we are shipping packages. I went back the second time with the triangle boxes (i use to ship the mats and had to wait til they got them in) wrapped because I did not want them to go Priority, they don't need to. She again gave me a hard time. I went one town over with all my packages and had no problem shipping them. That is why the boxes took longer to ship. I can only ship on Monday and Thursday

Sounds like it's been a bad week for many. I sure hope it gets better. I'm glad the ladies at my post office are nice. I think I spend more time in there chatting than it takes for them to get my packages ready. They always check to see if I have it clear they are fragile and if not they ask if I want them to put stickers on the boxes. Very nice ladies. My mail lady is the same way. During the summer a box of quail eggs a lady sent me went awol. It was missing for 2 weeks and everytime my mail lady brought me a box she asked if it's the one thats missing. When I went to the po to take boxes for mailing they asked me if I got my box. I actually take my boxes to a different po than where my mail comes from. They are probably the only people that know me besides one of the police which we're friends with.
I have gotten all of what is owed to me in swaps except for side swaps and one of those is on the way and the other is being made for me. And what I owe them is being collected for one and the other wants their eggs in a few weeks. So alls good on this end.
My week has had it's ups and downs. The person that has been taking 6 weeks to get their stuff out of our house, I had to call and tell him to get it yesterday or he's not getting anything else. I'm fed up with his drama. He has taken the breakers out of the breaker box that was supplying the heat light to my quail chicks and cut the wires, he moved doors that are to go in the house to a place in the garage that a sheet of tin is gone so when it rained they would get rained on. Another day he just turned off the 1 breaker supplying heat to my quail chicks. He has put things in the way and just left. He gets 2 loads a week and makes all kinds of stupid lying excuses as to why he won't make it out on certain days. OH! I could go on and on with all he's done. If he wasn't a relative he wouldn't have gotten away with any of it. But this week I had to put my foot down and insist he finish. Then yesterday was 1 year since my best friend had died. I had to have her put down due to cancer in her intestines. She was 14 years old. Then this moring my brother from indiana showed up for a visit with his family. The brother that has heart surgery in March of this year and actually died on the table once and as soon as they cut him open he started hemmoraging and almost couldn't get it stopped. Almost lost him before they even got to his heart. Then couldn't get it started again after working on it. Then developed a very bad infection and was in a coma for 6 days and in ICU for 12 days. Total time in the hospital was 2 weeks when it was suppose to be 5 days max. When he left the hospital he was using a walker and couldn't take care of his own personal needs and was on oxygen. Probably didn't weigh 120 pounds soaking wet. Now he's gained weight, is walking, has gone to 3 concerts a couple wrestling matches and drove all the way here. He still has numbness in his feet and gets off balance but he's determined he's gonna be back to normal. So it is great to see him and his family.

I got my wisteria today and a bonus of iris in the mail today and was so thrilled and DH went out in a thunderstorm when he got home from work to plant them for me. What a sweetie. Thats it up till now. Hope the rest of the week goes well. (knock on wood)
