baby chicks are always so cute... I just hatched out 3 mystery eggs from the swap (they are all yellow) and my broody hen from the dark side hatched a fourth.. yellow too..lol.. so we will see what they turn out to be as they mature.

I know what Deb means about forgetting what chicken babies look like with hatching quail.. those little buggers are more like crickets with fuzz..lol.. and move like lightening!

Ok...here is a new one for me.

Shipped 3 boxes of eggs Sat. PO calls me this am, 1 box returned with a note saying " cannot fly live, including hatching eggs on weekends" REALLY !!!!!!

Picked up the box...will set myself and recollect for swapper. NOW... lets see how these eggs were treated.

Has anyone ever have this happen to them. ????

FedEx here won't accept eggs at all. They also said any package must be able to withstand a 4 foot drop. I figured that although the eggs might not break, it definitely would not do them any good to drop 4 feet.

Here's what they did to one of mine going out. Dropped off in person twice, returned twice. I have no idea how stamps got on it. Some of them showed up after the first time out and the rest showed up on the second trip.

got eggs from BHep ~ the box scared me as it was a bit beat up looking (the only one out of 3 that showed rough treatment

was the eggs!) Eggs look okay to my novice eye, no cracks, so hoping all is good. Thanks so much!
