I second that!!!

This is my first Thanksgiving without my Mama.. but I am gaining comfort in trying to cook her special dishes with as much taste and flair as she did.

in this time of thanks.. I am thankful for this wonderful group of people who not only helped me through the rough time following her passing.. but have been steadfast in their friendship and helpful words of wisdom. Have a Blessed Thanksgiving and tell your loved ones just how much they mean to you. Now back to the cooking.. JUST WHERE did I stick that recipe..ooohh there it is.. my grandson has it making confetti.. oohh well

And even though they were mutts I wanted SO bad. I have 3 or 4 Ameraucanas gong into lock down today. It also looks like at least 4 silkies are developing.

I need help from all of you Master Hatchers. I have a good percentage of eggs develop but die in the hatcher. As Beth recommended, I'm doing almost dry hatches. I've been cleaning and disinfecting the hatcher between hatches. The temp in the hatcher is 98-99 with 50-60% humidity. The chicks are dying around 20 days. The yolk isn't completely dissolved.
This time I really scrubbed the hatcher.

Please treat me like a 3 year old and tell me what I'm doing wrong. This is with shipped eggs and my own eggs.

Jim,

Maybe your hatcher is too low and they are drowning instead of cooking the rest of the way. I never have mine that low ever. Mine is always about 100 incubating and hatching. I have great luck with my incubator. Just a thought. But this is what I do and have success.

Hope you have better success.

I got my package yesterday from Corancher the Ornaments and the knifes made it safely. I love the ornaments. May have to keep the deer one for our tree since you sent and extra one.

I always have my temps at 101 in my brinsea...98-99 scares me for some reason so I put the temp smack dab in the middle
