Jim......... I went ahead a hatched the white egg chick. Blood & yoke was absorbed, but no progress on the zipping since last night. The chick is alive, not a NN and is exhausted.

for the little bugger.
3 black, 1 brown IB.
I will post updates later. Out to work in the barn.

The white egg had zipped about an inch this am. The original pipper has pipped a bit more, and the third is the same. Other two no pippin yet. (as of 7 am).

Question for ya'll. These weren't due until Tuesday, so I wasn't going to help them. When do YOU decide to help them? I mean, they are breathing, so I figured they'd be okay for a while. ???? what to do???

Yes actually. He sent me a PM asking if I wanted some bags. That was Nov 21st.

If they are breathing through a hole I'd leave them. If they peeping gets quiet then I'd help. Only help if they seem in distress. I've had them pip but not zip for a good 24 hours. When I have helped, they didn't have their yolk absorbed and died.

NOW THAT'S WHAT I LIKE.... ALL TO HATCH !!!
Waiting for #2 white eggs, started to zip . # 1 white egg chick doing well, up and about and is chipmunk colored.

My stinky hatch rate is a thing of the past. Bye Bye

#2 white egg hatched. Big fat yellow chick. No NN. 1 white egg left, that is the iffy one.
AWESOME HATCH!!! Quick & easy, today was hatch day.

Lock down tonight on Hot2Pot & Henthymes eggs....
