I got a package of eggs today from Mbrobbins and a package of eggs from Emvickrey yesterday. I just wanted to say everyone I have gotten eggs from have done a fantastic job with shipping and the eggs are wonderful. I have a total of 72 eggs in the bator now and more on the way. Eggs are so wonderful! The eggs I have now are MF D'Uccles, Heritage RIRs (brick), Seramas, Silkies, Black Marans. I need to try polish again. I should have a lot of eggs around June, July.....I hope.

We're getting another one too next year:) maybe I can put my own birds in it this time!
I forgot you havent been to my house like most of the other crew! You should see it now-Mark put fresh Hay outside in thick coats on the ground so their little piggies don't get hurt-..nice dust bathing box..hung the feeders inside...solar light panels for them...made ladders for their roosts...bails of hay inside just for comfort etc..spoiled rotten things!!!

3 of your hens are in with the Tolbunts-they hatched out together so we left them together:)

It's official. Sonew's chickens have a better home than I do. If I purchase another coop for you, can I live in it????

come on up!!!

So far it looks like shipping is best with individually bubble wrapped eggs. Padding of shredded paper and bubble wrap both seem fine. The egg carton technique seems to make scrambled eggs every time. I have not received any double boxed so I don't know how much that helps.

Great I hope that technique helps. Cause that is exactly how I shipped yours.

I got some BLRW & Marans today from a BYC auction. They were bubble wrapped, placed inside a styrofoam egg carton, carton was taped, carton was rolled and wrapped with about 4 shopping bags, this was all placed inside a box with about 15 more shopping bags for cushioning, then sent from GA to FL in a USPS Priority box with "eggs" written all over it, 2 days travel. Not an egg was cracked.

I was, however, a little miffed that they included no extras. My shipped eggs hatch rate sucks royally, as I've mentioned, so it would have been nice to have extras. They're popping out of chicken's butts every day and you go through the trouble to wrap them that well, why not 2 more? Maybe I'm just greedy?

your greedy! hahaha No just kidding...I ALWAYS send extras."just in case" Sometimes I can only send 1 extra or 10! depends on if the girls lay for me

I individualy bubble wrap then tape them together in rows of 3-4-5 depending on how many I am shipping. Then I put them pointy end down in the box and wrap that package with large bubble wrap and put in a box with padding. Paper or bubble wrap.
I have had one person say one egg was cracked on a beaten up box in about 55 shippments.

Also of note - I think they scramble the airsac less by shipping right side up as opposed to "floating" in the box on their side or where ever.

Just my .2 cents this seems to work really well for me.
