She is a pygmy, the buck is 100% Kiko. You should see her today, she has gotten even bigger. Her last kids were both girls.

Those are the two we bred today, they are 1/2 boer. These are DH's goats, he wanted to get into livestock but cows are just soo expensive to get started with so he got into meat goats. Starting small and working our way up. the plan is to sell some of the offspring this year and buy a registered kiko doe for our buck.

We also have a newer addition from Oct of a saanen doe, she is only 5 months old and cute as can be! The goal with her down the road is to milk her to make soap.

She is just beautiful! Hope she's able to birth those babies soon for you and for her own sake too. I will never talk DH into goats - the chickens drive him nuts. Good luck!

reesepoultry - you certainly do have alot on your plate. It looks like you have a good handle on how you need to keep your sanity, though. So sorry that you haven't found your dog yet . I'll keep you in my thought and cross my fingers for a little extra help.

BABIES???? How many can a goat have at one time? I am new to the goat world. I want a goat but now I am afraid they have multiples........

We are crossing our fingers for two as that is what she had last time. Goats can have anywhere up to 3 and I believe some have even had 4.

In most cases you really want a doe that can provide you with two kids at a time.

I do know this girl is also a very good milker and stays full providing very well for her babies.

When we bought her she came with her month old girls, it has been really fun to see them grow.
