ColdUpNorth - I am so sorry for the troubles you are going through

I know when I hatched my first with bad feet and spraddle legs, I did the same thing but I think having the bandaid on it made it worse IMO. My chick kind of gave up trying to walk. I did try encouraging it and making sure it got to the water and feed all the time. But by morning, it gave up. It was so hard for me to see it struggle. When I mentioned it on one of the threads, someone said it could have been do to a temp spike. But honestly who knows? There are so many factors that could come into play with shipped eggs. I gave up trying to guess. If you know in heart you did everthing to bator them correctly I would just have to think is was the PO or genetics. I hope your next batch develops perfectly for you. It is painful to see after waiting so long for sweet chickies, Big hugs to you

Didn't someone have some on thier swap? But I can't remeber who. I looked but they are so pricey. I'll keep looking for you.

Can someone tell me a good website to buy clear egg cartons from? I really need some and last website I used it took me a month to get my order for some reason so I thought I would ask you wonderful people since I'm sure some of you have bought them before!

The antibiotics are for possible current or future infections due to the crystals scratching and blocking up the system, both cause infection........ I think.

Okay - I have been trying to do a little physical therapy but he tries to tuck his feet back up. I will keep trying. Will plain yogurt and scrambled eggs work for him for feeding, since he doesn't seem to be interested in working on the chick food? His toes are still slightly crooked - I just took his band-aid shoes off for pictures, but will be putting new ones on. Should I keep putting the hobbles on so his feed don't spraddle? Now, I'm off to find info on a cup sling because I haven't heard of that before. Thanks!

Hers a really good site with help for all of the things you are doing for your little guy, it can help you probably more than I could. https://sites.google.com/a/poultrypedia.com/poultrypedia/poultry-podiatry

Awwwww poor little things. I have placed chicks with leg issues in a teacup, they want to get out and stand up up build strength.

Thanks everyone for the advice! I'm going to work some more on this little guy and hopefully get somewhere. Wow RHRanch - that website has alot of information. I will have to sift through it some more and I'm off to make a chicken cup sling
