That's a fabulous idea!

Kim, I love your decorating ideas! I'm wanting to redo my kitchen this year. It's all I can do to keep myself from ripping this wallpaper off but I know as soon as I start, it'll all snowball into a monster project.

What happened, Pauletta? I missed it, but here are some hugs...

I haven't been on much this week, due to a quick trip this weekend to PA. My Mom's brother died Sunday morning as he was getting ready for church. He was 59. They are sure it was a heart attack-it was extremely sudden. He felt fine when he woke up, but just like that he is gone. It was a huge surprise. His funeral is on Friday, so we are leaving Thursday morning and won't be back until Monday.

For you and

for your Mom. So sorry to hear this.

It's too late, I'm sure, but I would use a sage green paint... my preference. I'm sure it will look great. BTW where did you get that??? I love that border! (SS Teacher)

I am on a painting mission. Here is the question....
3 walls 1 with large window 2 solid.
Want to paint 2 solid walls maroon on bottom and cream on top with boarder * old world maps* to cover line
want to paint wall with window a dark tan.
this is the boarder. What you all think. I have 6 hours to do this so I have to decide now LOL

Well Doc my neighbor the Lonoke eye doctor came over and corrected what his wife said. Said he knew of 5 people going blind currently from poultry disease not dying. Really? Five people in Lonoke? Lonoke County or even the State of Arkansas? I told him considering he lives 2 acres away from me as is building a house 19 acres from me I doubt that he would go blind.

So after some research and help from a thread, this was found. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Histoplasmosis and for blindness: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presumed_ocular_histoplasmosis_syndrome

I still think he live far enough away he will be fine. But maybe we all need to reconsider wearing a NBC suit when we clean our chicken houses.

I tease but reading this has made me consider wearing a mask over my mouth and nose.

I always wet down litter and wear a respirator when I clean my coops. Its kind of annoying, but there is such a large amount of particulates which get into the air when soil/litter gets moved around, I feel the precaution is warranted.

I think she's paranoid. Thanks for info. I imagine there are numerous diseases and conditions gained from all pets, and humans, for that matter. Perhaps we should all live in a bubble and take nourishment from an IV? Every food we eat has the potential to kill us--salmonella. E coli, etc. We're all doomed, neighbor.

ps I have that NBC suit in pink. :gig I wear it to teach. Talk about your petri dishes...
