Well when the eggs don't sell, you still need to buy feed. All my auctions have no bids last time I checked. Already started selling flocks, the buckeyes went to auction. Even there the prices are down. I think we are in a depression and the government doesn't want to admit it. Last year the prices at auction took a big jump when the weather got better. Getting tired of working so hard to lose money.

We went to Jackson this past saturday to sell and it seems everybody is wanting hens. There is a lady that comes to buy roosters that they process. I'll PM you with information about the "WE" i'm speaking of. I don't think it's allowed to mention another site here. We're having swaps every month at TSC and your welcome to come. Our regular date is the second weekend of every month at the TSC in Jackson. From 8 am to 2 pm. Our next scheduled swap is on April 14th. I'll fill you in on anymore we get scheduled. They will be in different areas.

I sold all but 4 roos and when I got home I sold 2 more. I just have M.J the grey silkie roo and Oddball the multicolored sizzle cockereal

I know what you mean about work. I sat down and made a list of all the breeds. Some are still chicks but still I think chicks are more work than the older ones. I still am at the point were I enjoy them more than they exhaust me. LOL But I am glad I have coops with attached runs coming because building has become a bit to much for me these days. The ones with a * beside them came from ya'll on the swap or eggs I bought from BYC. When I see picks of your babies, it is so awesome to see some of the same I have. So I guess that makes us all family!

I was thinking about offering meal wormer starter to my swap. Any body interested now that the weather is nicer. I have had m ine in the closet all winter and I have 2 larger sweater totes swarming with beetles and worms!

My silkie broody hen Cinderella hatched her first chicks yesterday!!!!

She was only sitting on 4, I saw 2 little adorable faces but haven't been able to tell if they all hatched r not. She had 3 of my RIR and one of her own, here's a pic I was able to get, couldn't get one with both there little heads, I'm soooooo happy for her, she's been wanting to be a Mommy for a while now!!! I'm a proud Mommy too, lol!!!
