WHAT YA GOT SWAP Chat Thread

I agree with what others said. The outpouring of support is amazing. Just a little bit ago,I felt like I would just give up. A couple of very kind members of the board picked me up, dusted me off, and helped me step forward. Then there is Patty who has the misfortune of fielding all my "OMG" or " HEY PATTY I'VE HAD TOO MUCH COFFEE" PM's. Without my friends here on the board I would be outside, sitting in the main coop, shavings in my hair, trying to learn how to speak chicken (even more then I already do).
Also, this thread is not quite like any other. There is never any bickering or arguing. Drama free. It is really just a great place to sit and hang out.

Hugs to all!

and.... yer a nut, we're a pair of nuts... bwah ha ha ha ha ha ha ... pair of nuts...

OMGoodness, what have I agreed too?!?!?!?!?! And what could it possibly be mixed with? I pick up this roo for free in the morning. They said he was mean to the little chickens but was nice to ones his size or bigger. I think I have a coop of hens for him. But no I'm not hatching any babies till later in the year. I would need suggestions on which hen to put with him.

He looks like he has a black beard, slate legs, some kind of golden-silver laced polish mix. Just too funny and wild looking!

He looks like a pure silver Laced polish to me. Just maybe a little dirty.

Pauletta... that is a silver laced Polish. The goldish color could be from feeding too much corn, it can turn your whites...yellow.

If they have bantams, I am sure he was a little rough on them. Put him with some big hens to make funky..... funky chickens.

This also happens if you have too much iron in your water and you add bleach to your white load of laundry. I'm just sayin'...

I THINK HE"S A REALLY COOL LOOKING BIRD, you should FLAT RATE HIM TO ME.

Really?? See t hat is too funny. I guess because I only have Blue polish with no beards. At least not that long. I thought maybe this was a brahma mixed polish.
They said he would pick on the little chickens/chicks. That's normal to me. I have never know a polish to put up with little chicks running around his hens.

Thanks for your help ladies. Well I shut down the bators but I guess I need to open them back up. LOL BHEP - I will PM you. I am very tickled with this and will take pics tomorrow when I pick him up.
