Well, I got a package today, and couldn't figure out at what point in time I had ordered a small table, lol. Here, someone sent the boys some AWESOME stuff that they just LOVE! Of course, they have to wait until xmas, but they were helping me unpack the box, and saw some of the stuff, lol. I'm not exactly sure who sent it, as there was no return address and the note gave no indications, but THANK YOU to whomever sent it. I started crying when I realized what was in the box, lol. The boys couldn't figure out why on earth I was crying because of all the cool stuff they got, lol.
There are two forums that I posted a "wanted" list to trade stuff for the boys, one was here, and another was Nature's Hippie House forum, so I know it was someone from one of these forums. I wish I knew who! But, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

Got my eggs from Jim today, all 30 of them!!!

Woot! Let me know about the one marked wire. It is a fertility test. All the others pop like crazy here.

I just wanted to make sure you got your money's worth.

I can attest to the WONDERFUL packing job Gabrielle does! Even with a crushed box freezing night temperatures and an extra day (4 days total) stuck in transit, I have six serama eggs out of seven growing strong (one started and quit, but after that journey, I expected MUCH more to quit or just not develop. The quail eggs, well, they're only on day 5 or 6 now, and my candling efforts haven't amounted to much on them yet, lol. I'm sure they'll give an excellent hatch rate as well though!

Gabrielle, I still haven't gotten your soaps out to you yet, but I promise they'll be out asap!

Long time no see guys, I am working on everyone's items and will have them sent this week and some early next week. I promise everyone will get there items before christmas and plenty of time to get there items to there loved ones. Things have been hectic here and I have slowed on swapping until I get caught up on sending items out. Again, I am so sorry for the delay.

I am not experienced with Cochins and I was wondering if anyone can tell me if it is unusual to have a 8+ month old Cochin cockeral that has never crowed yet? Its making me wonder if it really is a "he". He has always had a large comb and wattles and his feathering is definitely different than my hen. I don't have a picture right now but could get them tomorrow.

I've had some take forever to crow. My Cochin are not much for crowing like some of my other breeds.

Good, so I don't need to worry about him. These are from yours and they are both very sweet. The Aracauna roo in that pen doesn't bother the Cochin at all, but is very insistent that the Iowa Blue roo is nowhere near him. The Aracauna roo is top roo and the horniest one I've ever seen. They are going to have to winter it out together with all the girls in there. Hopefully all goes well.
