I'm not sure where he was from. The newsclip said that he had to downsize to five roosters though.
Debi, well, it all depends. That'd be WAAAAYY to many for me, but then again, I only have 40 birds total, lol. We have more testosterone running around here than I originally planned for, but crap happens, right? I have my favorite leghorn rooster, then G has his favorite rooster, and when the big bear came and those two boys attacked it head on, they were both put on the permanent list here. Only need one, but yanno? Then, we have three Ameraucanas (though I'm getting rid of one, I think, lol), but one's a black breasted red who's really pretty, and the other is a splash, who's also really pretty and I want blues. Then of course, there's the cornish cross roo, Brooster, who is around for whenever he decides that sex is good, so I can hatch out pure cornish crosses. We even have an extra tom turkey that we really don't NEED. Two hens and two toms, yanno? Ah well, such is life. And, we'll have more males flowing with testosterone once the seramas and OEGB hatch (gotta have one of each). BUT, I like having all of the boys outside. With 40 birds, the extra watch eyes are really nice. As long as none of them start attacking us, they have a pretty good chance here, lol.
