Yup our winds were insane today. Got my bator wrapped but we have not had electricty since noon and they were to go into lockdown in a few days. I will still try.

You have any broodies? If so put them to use. The winds where kickin it here yesterday and last night. It blew down our grand kids play set thats made of wood. I had covered the rabbit hutch with one of those large area rugs and it got blown off even though I had cinder blocks holding it over the top. It blew one of the windows out of the splash's pen that I had put over the wire to keep the wind out. I had propped something against it so it would stay up but it didn't. But with all the freezing rain and then snow wverybody was ok and no water was even frozen. It's suppose to get down to 17 tonight so I may have ice buckets to deal with tomorrow.

Yup. sorry we lost internet on the phone too for a while. Still no electricity so hubby and I bulit a fire in the fire place for the baby chickens and quail and left LOL!!! They own the bathroom condo now. We wil be back in the morning. We went to a hotel. We only got 6 1/2 inches of snow in this area and it seems to have crippled the city. Good gravy. Hawaii is looking better and better. Yup you and my hubby think I am kidding but unless he buys a automatic generator for the house and coops I am house hunting. I never have like the snow.......I am more use to battling tornados than I am snow. Crazy aye? LOL Yes it is pretty but after 30 hours......... I am over it. Iike green grass, hot tubs, cold beer, bright sun, happy chickens and clear roads.

Looks beautiful but no electricity stinks! Hope it warms up for you and the snow melts away soon. A hotel sounds like a little adventure

Pauletta, I have a daughter in Sherwood. They got 10 inches. I told her I was glad it was her and not me...we only have a little over an inch on the ground. She did not lose power, so she and her DH (from Ohio) are loving the white Christmas. They have a 7 week old so didn't try and travel up here for Christmas this year and they were missing the snow. I hope your power is restored quickly!

You have 14 Harley bikes? I kind of like the snow but after a few months I am done with it. I was raised in California, southern. Hope you get that power back on soon.

I took butter to brunch today lol , I didnt know that it was a fancy little thing for people that volentree for the secratary , she just texted me this morning and said come over about 1130 and Ill feed ya. So me in my house cleaning clothes and my son is his pj's and butter in her little pink bag headed over there . I felt kinda bad as the lady had set up quite the nice ambance and here I was all scruffy with a 7 year old in pj's and a chicken in a beat up diaper bag , but most of the people really liked her and thought it was pretty neat.

After months of wanting to update my swap page, I finally did it today.

202roosterlane - Hope you get back to normal soon. Hmm. I was thinking the picture looks like what Colorado should look like. We have only gotten a little snow so far this year. If I could just order some rain then I would be just as happy without snow but the ski resorts wouldn't be very happy.
