I tested a couple of my mix breed flock for fertility by putting their eggs in the bator. Well it's day 20 and they have pipped and are chirping like crazy, I am going nuts waiting. It's been 4 hrs and just my luck they will pop tomorrow when I'm at work till 7.
Anyway, these are the eggs you would get from me if any of you chose to claim eggs from me. I have to post a pic because one of the eggs hatching is from an ee that gives us GIANT green eggs. It's so fun hatching barnyard mixes because I am dying to know what they will look like and if I can guess who the parents are.

Thats like Icelandic's they are all different.

Anyone have some eggs to sell or trade. The person I was getting my barnyard mix for the Easter Swap went to a Poultry Show and her husband cooked them up for the birds

So I need two sets of 6+ eggs for someone to send out on my behalf. Any takers?

Wow!!! Thats the pits! I have a brooding hen laying on some now but I have no idea if I will get any chicks otherwise I would ship some to you. I get 12 to 14 eggs a day from fourteen birds.

The giant green egg popped! I don't know how well you can tell from the pic but the chick seems massive to me. At first I thought it was black but as it dries there is a lot of brown/red in her, and it might be blue...


oh and I did a bad thing today... I was buying chicken food and i heard peeping and of course I HAD to look. Well it turns out they had 3 bantam turken chicks and Ive always wanted turkens! So I got all three. My poor dh can't believe it. Not only did I get more chickens. I got, as he puts it, "UGLY" ones!

I think that one might be a little red, there is a white one, and one who's grow out is brown and white striped.

The turken is so cute! Your little chickie is cute to. Didn't you know you need stay away where chickies are? lol
