This board moves pretty quick so I'm just gonna jump in and pretend like I've been here all along.
I wish someone would offer up an incubator!!! Like one of the little ones that is for classrooms or something :/ I want some different eggs SO BAD but I have no incubator! Booo... one of the classrooms at the school here is hatching eggs so I am gonna try to con her out of the incubator when she mess up and none of their eggs hatch XD

Call your local County Extension office, they usually have a few to loan out

i recieved my eggs from clover, silkie, caj, bee, chiqita...all arrived perfectly! i've set them all so here's to an interesting hatch....i'm going to have ducks, turkey's, mixed flock eggs, pure chicken eggs all in this last set. i'm excited to see how this one goes...i've never set this many different breeds all at one time.

this hatch hasn't gone to plan-completely. i guess to many spikes and waves with incubation...i had the hardest time with temp and humidity. this dumb weather hasn't helped at all. i moved all my supplies, bators, eggs into the bathroom. so much easier to keep everything in one spot...the bators are doing so much better. our two new chicks are settling into the brooder nicely. we have one pipping now, so i'm hoping for at least a couple more dozen to hatch...my hand is doing better-BUT it still hurts like the dickens! i sure am moving a whole lot slower these past few days...my chicks outside are not happy that their condo hasn't been built yet. but i hope to get outside with the help of my mom and daughter and get that dang thang built!!

weather is supposed to hold till next weekend....so here's to hoping i can get something accomplished from here on out! so looking forward to a much better week....hope everyone has stayed dry and warm. we are up to our eyeballs in wet-nasty stuff.
