So so cute!! I dont know if their buttons?? How can I tell?? The eggs are brown speckled and the chicks as small as a quarter! Un reall two are light colored one is darker...does this mean sex???

Are those the eggs I sent you? If so they are coturnix. Can't sex them till round 4-8 weeks depending on what type.

.  I chased them around my living room several times since it was cold and those were brooded inside.  Fat 50 year old woman chasing small birds around the living room and trying to keep them from under the furniture and simultaneously keeping the cats from chasing said birds was extremely amusing to my kids and grandson.  Heck it amuses me picturing it in my mind.

You are not fat! But it is an amusing visual! :lau

It is kind of slow here...but every once in a while things get going!

Does anyone have day old ducklings? I got some eggs last month and had an unsuccessful hatch, due to post office mishandling (the smashed box from the post office thread I made is that box!). I had only two ducks develop, but one was too weak and couldn't hatch. But I got one duckling that is super healthy and adorable that hatched this morning. Well, he/she is incredibly lonely and cries if I put it down If it notices that I walked away from the brooder. I know they are highly social animals and I can't imagine how much it must suck to be the only duck baby :/

So i was curious i saw nothing in byc rules about doing a swap after 3 mothes of membership in fact it says specificly you must abide by byc organization rules and it doesnt matter how long you have been a member the only stipulation i saw was you have to make at least 30 posts after being a member to be recognised for swaps etc... So i think you all are breaking the rules by not letting people less than 3 months join as long as they have had at least 30 posts...
