Have not had morels in years :) I agree with learycow, would not mind seeing those in a swap sometime.

I do pick morels last year was an exceptional year, hoping for the same this year. I don't care for them dried but that's just my own personal taste. I would be more than happy to "share the wealth" of my model patches. I am thinking in the next couple of weeks I should start seeing some. I know that ramps and morels are usually out by the first of April.

Do you have something other than ducks? I raise Anconas and just got 11 more. That is about all the ducks I can handle right now - messy little things!

I can vouch for that! Going down is not as detrimental but coming up is a problem. Were at 6500 ft.

By the way Abba, the special soap you made me to treat my dog's skin problem is working wonderful! Unlike all the soaps and shampoos that I have used before (human and dog) the hair isn't left harsh and dried out. No need for conditioner. And the SHINE! And it cuts right through the doggy smell and the sick skin smell. Her skin is getting so much better already. My hands feel so great after washing her up.

What type of skin problem??? My friends have a dog with horrible skin issues, they've spent tons of money trying to figure out, allergy, what not. If it comes up on swap I'll mine it for her!!!

Dendritis. Unless I am mistaken it is the same organism that causes nail fungus in people. The skin turns scaly grey and dry and she scratches till she bleeds at times. Oils deters it. Iodine (10%) can really beat on it but it is a combined effort of cleaning it, medicating it and oiling it that finally knocks it out. You also have to remove the dead skin tissue so the organism can't hide under it. It doesn't like light. The soap she made me has pumice and oats in it to help exfoliate the dead tissue. It has tea tree oil and rosemary in a goats milk base.
