I know. I swear someone stepped on it. I would not have been surprised to find a big ole shoe print on the box.

ETA: It wasn't as bad as I was expecting though. I have gotten worse. Shocking isn't it.

ETA: Dad is taking the box back up there this morning. I have to work late yet again and the postmaster isn't there tomorrow. Dad is ex Navy, getting on up there in years, cranky and takes no #%&@ so I don't see this going in the POs favor. I am sure he will have an apology out of someone and some free shipping for the next few boxes to go out.

I wonder how expensive it would be to go ups instead. They have never delivered a banged up box to me and they are very quick on delivery. Can you even ship eggs with them?

Surprisingly (and thankfully) my eggs from 202roosterlane came in a completely undamaged box. I dont know if it was luck of the draw or the fact that she put the fear of God in them by writing "BYC" (and threatening the ire of an entire chicken community) or the fact that she wrote "please" in several areas.

The PO told me to write the notes on bright paper. That way they stand out. They claim they don't always see what is just written on the box. You all deserve a postal clerk like my Sharon.

On a side note, 5 BLRW and 2 SF from Tay_boe. And 1 split black Silkie from Natalie went into lock down yesterday. Here's to hoping they hatch. I've had other BLRW MAKE IT TO LOCK DOWN BUT I CAN'T GET THE SUCKERS TO HATCH. ARE THERE ANY SECRETS?
