I feel the same way, we PAY for a service and definitely are not getting it!!!

Maybe we need to start a petition in regards to the treatment our packages are getting???

Did the eggs I sent to you make it o.k.???

Here's a pic of the eggs I received from Muddyhorse yesterday (I know not the worst that happens but it still stings). Out of 9 three cracked and seeping brown with a rotten smell. The one on the left is even stuck to the bubble.

Of the remaining 6 all have broken aircells, 4 have blood rings and two appear to be scrambled in the shell. What a loss!!!

I was wondering if the temps being this hot, whether the eggs would start developing during shipping. They really did a number on that package

They did! I was super worried after hearing all the stories but they arrived unharmed. They're upstairs growing up as we speak.

Yes they made it just fine. AMAZING with everything that's been happening. I just can't get over the fact that they left the one box in the dirt in the sun!!!!

They're upstairs in the bator right now.

I always, *ALWAYS* have my boxes marked for pick up. Some people have forgotten and that is understandable but my PO knows me well enough that they call if the box looks like it might have eggs. My mail carrier is super dooper and will even call me if she knows it isn't eggs but has to leave the package at my gates down at the road. I live back from the road a distance and we keep our gates closed all the time. She worries someone may come along and steal the box if seen through the gates so she calls right then and asks if I am home.
I am sure there are good ones and bad ones everywhere.

You all didn't read over on the duck thread where a lady ordered eggs from another BYCer and the seller didn't realize she had shipped a developing egg?
The buyer set the eggs in the bator and then a few days later heard peeping and saw a pipped egg. She was amazed! To say the least!

The duckling hatched fine. There is a thread going about it and in another one we started talking about it. Talk about amazing!

I don't understand. If the eggs are collected fresh, which they should be, none of them should be developing and none of them should be rotten by the time anyone gets them, no matter what the heat.

If it's warm enough and they're fresh why wouldn't they develop in the heat?

Those boxes basically become little incubators in this heat. In fact one I received that was cracked had definitely started. Though one pipping only a few days later is kind of crazy. Especially for a duck. Don't they take a bit longer than chickens?
