Recieved eggs from Corancher and BHep today - all packaged VERY well - and for the 2nd time this week - boxes in perfect shape.

Now I have 27 eggs in the 'bator .

Any one have luck with staggered hatches? I wasn't thinking and put some eggs in Wend. instead of waiting until today. I only have one incubator - so, advice on how to proceed would be mucho appreciated.

i staggered a few batches.
keep them on the turner until lock down for the first batch.
and manually turn the others after that.
just be quick and dont turn while the others are pipping.

I am getting Silkie eggs and the roo is one of Chickychickybaby's boys (that is a mouth full!) so the chicks will be adorable. I just haven't hatched any myself yet to know what colors I will get. A hen is sitting on eggs and they are due to hatch on the 19th. I am hoping they will be blue but can't promise that. I know that Flash the splash will be a proud papa.

He is a pretty boy. I bet you get some nice birds out of those hens. I love Fancy

I have two big cabinets, one with a turner and one without. So i keep them in the one with a turner until lockdown and switch them over to the other. Seems to work pretty well. I just add more to the one with the turner any time I want, noting when i need to move them.

No, it is not normal for Barnevelder to be Golden. Did it hatch from one of the dark eggs? You got me wondering now?

No, it was the same color as the other Barnevelder eggs and marked BV. When the other egg (a BBS Orpington) finishes hatching I will take a picture of the shells and chicks.
They are cute!
