ugh that sounds like that evil word W-O-R-K! hahaha I can try ...its all fairly simple really. You just wash the eggs like normal to clean them off and dry them. I poke a hole on the top and bottom of eggs with my tweezers. I slip a 50 ml syringe into the bottom and suck out all egg...the eggs will drool out more after that is done. I place all eggs in a carboard egg holder to drain for two days. Everyday picking up and cleaning the extra drool off...day 3-apply decorations.day 4 paint with glossy modge podge-I have the eggs on skewers while doing this. place skewers standing up right for eggs to dry.day 5 another coat of modge podge. day 6..place looped strings through eggs with bead caps. day 7 final look over:) wallah! all done...I'll do what you suggested so everyone knows what Im talking about-there is a huge thread on all of this from years ago-started from Miss prissy:) Its alot of fun and my girls get involved to help as they know that $ made from me selling those eggs goes towards their bdays-and Xmas..their Bdays are both at the end of Nov-then Xmas double wammy!

GET OUT!!!! why didn't I think of that??? I would totally do that!!! I'm very picky with egg color though:( BUT I would try...It takes me a week to blow out and decorate 35 eggs ..a whole week..2-3 days are just waiting for eggs to dry out!...I have syringes to suck out the yolks...Then I sit them in 36 pack holders to dry out and drain! I usually just cook up all the eggs for the birds for treats:) They LOVE me the month of Oct..I worm them and keep all the eggs for myself for crafts at that point!.

ANYONE can pm me about this as a side swap
I need
olive eggs
blue eggs
dark dark brown eggs
light brown
bantam eggs too!!!!!
dont waste your time with white eggs I can buy them at the store for 99 cents if needed-I dont mean that rudely either Im just saying its alot of work to blow out eggs and such and Id rather use all my time blowing out the colored eggs. I can even do duck eggs. The trick is to wash all my eggs before blowing...I do not use any egg that has stains on them--have to be flawless in that department because once I put a glaze on them the stains show right up:(

Pm if you want to do this! I have a 6 pack of BLRW eggs that can go out TODAY! if someone wants to swap for 3 doz blown out eggs-I'll even throw in a surprise egg or two-eggs I don't sell-ever..I raise them for improving the breed not to make $-Im not telling you what it is unless it hatches! NOPE Im serious...I will not tell you-haha thats the fun of it! I have a ton of packages to get out today Im behind because of being so swamped and not being able to get to PO-flooding and such:(

DD was blowing eggs..... she does a good job - sometimes her holes are a little big though

I hate blowing eggs

We just do not have the eggs to blow ... and with college starting back, she doesn't have time right now.

I was going to decorate our tree with nothing but eggs/farm/chicken stuff this year

Now I feel stupid, I actually blow the eggs and it drives me nuts so I quit doing it. I will have to try that, I bet it is much easier. Have you ever injected water to rinse out the egg rather than waiting for it to drip out?

OK - I feel like I was hit by a truck

DD uses a syringe. And I have no clue how she does it, but I know she uses water in the syringe to flush it out after she gets gunk out.

She even blew quail eggs for me!

Hey Chicky, that same truck got me too! I am a mess. I fell and have a bruise the size of a grapefruit on my leg, scraped same leg on sharp metal gate, have a bad disc in my back AND the allergies are giving me grief, sore throat, sneezing, stuffed up . Just praying it is not a cold. Hoping we both feel better soon. Sometimes I get desperate and take Nyquil, it helps me sleep but bothers my ibs. Getting old is no picnic, but if you are not getting older, you are dead.:p

DH takes nyquil whenever he gets to feeling like he is getting sick.

I actually have no bruises or scrapes right now, surprisingly! Doc was not happy with inflammation in my joints yesterday so on a round of antibiotics.
