I need to check them. The special secret egg formed a blood ring. I had 2 with nothing. There was one egg that wasn't marked that looked like the special egg that is good. I hope it was one from you. I set some of my own eggs that day but it doesn't look like mine. I write MY on my eggs and it didn't have that. They were set Aug 29 so they have 6 more days.
The others from you had Blood Rings. Could that be from the PO taking forever? (Was there more than 1 special egg?)
(If you could follow this message you are good at decoding. I feel like I can't put together a complete thought tonight)

blood rings I hate!
All I know of blood rings is that the chick died early stages-I might have sent 2 of those eggs? Oh and that bacteria from reallyl dirty got in the egg? The only eggs I can't or are not clean are my duck eggs-I clean the best I can without scrubbing them-I hate sending duck eggs out for that reason alone..... I honestly cannot remember if I sent two of those eggs you'll know when it hatches! NO BLRW"s left??? I give up! I've never had all blood rings? WTH??? The PO Im not sure -a bad long shipment could result in anything,,,
I'm hoping to try eggs again when it cools down some more and I can save a little money so I can afford them. I'm not getting a milk check because I quit milking at my place but I still have young stock to feed and my wife's horses. If nothing else I'd like to swap or buy some from you in the spring. I hope to have eggs that I'm selling by then that should help. I'll have Iowa Blue's for sale in about 2 1/2 weeks.
I think it was Beth that suggested the dry hatch. I've been doing that now for over a month. My problem is still usually death after lock down.

For some reason the PO can't send anything between NY and Iowa in a direct path. They send east of Natalie (I think its east of her) then west of me before they get to me. I need somebody traveling from NY to get them to me. Packages sent the same day take 1-2 days longer to get between us. UGH.

yes they seem to go from ny to springfield mass and then on to where ever they need to go.
the springfield mass sorting center is not my favorite.
I shipped eggs today and when I handed the postal worker the box she slammed it on the scale. Then she asks "anything fragile, liquid or perishable?" All of the above lady! They get abused the second they leave my hands.
