Ok these "what ya got swap" threads are really confusing me.

Do you just randomly offer something and someone claims it and offers something else after you or does it go to you?

I thought one person offered something and you wait until someone claims it and then that person offers something and you wait until someone claims it and then keep going. But I keep seeing several "Mine!"s in a row... How do you know who's claiming what?

Welcome! It is a chain. Instructions are on the first page of the thread. Most have created a swap page so they don't have to keep retyping their offers which is why you keep seeing so many mines in a row. You accept from the most recent offer only.

I read the rules but I wasn't real sure if I understood them entirely. So this is for anything, not just eggs.

Just thought of something else.

Say you offer 6 hatching eggs and I say Mine and offer 2 dozen egg cartons. Does that mean that I send the egg cartons to you or the next person to say mine?
I also saw that it says new members must send with confirmation of arrival before their swap can be sent to them. By new member do you mean to BYC or to the Swap?

Yes, that is how it works. The swaps went really fast this morning so a bit confusing. Remember many have swap pages so some of are swappers already know what they want from someones swap page so as soon as that person puts mine they are fast to post mine on that persons offer. Take a look at the various swap pages so you will also know what members have to offer. Believe me I am often way to slow.

Got my soaps from Renee! Thanks! DD grabbed them and took what she wanted. Naturally.

I also got my 7 eggs from Black Brook Poultry. Can't wait to see what hatches out.
