I just updated my swap page with a bunch more stuff. I had to go looking in my attic.

I do side trades too if you are out of swaps or don't want to use your swap.

I agree with the new rules but unfortunately the one who stiffed me had been here forever. I got screwed out of 2 swaps by the same person. I though I could trust them because they were a long time member. Guess that's not the case. ONe swap was from JULY.

I think the person left byc cause they havent been on here in ages.



That being said I am way behind on buff beauty's item. It will go out monday if I have to make my own box like someone suggested. Sorry buffbeauty!!!!

Meepitqueenie, I would suggest ameraucanas. That's what my DD has that I am going to send you. They are pure BBS that I got from littleameraucanamom. They are fertile so if a few find their way into your incubator you could hatch a few.

I have 6 in the bator right now and they are all growning. Unfortunately I only have the one hen so only 4 or so will be within the normal time frame for hatching since she only lays one per day.

So I had a rough week, or rather my sisters did. I sent my 10 6 week olds off, 4 to 1 sister and 6 to another, well they each lost 2 to predators! DS #1 lost my dear little BR, Squeakers, and my first chi, a BO named Pip to a hawk. I sw the darn hawk floating around while I was putting wire on top of their pen. Atleast they were both roos.

DS #2 Lost 2 hens, a RI and black australope, to what could only be a racoon (which she had insisted didn't live in her area). darn racoon jumped over 6 ft of chain link and barbed wire and snuck into their pen.

I candeled my eggs and Kristi, I have 2 eggs make it to lock down, 1 pure and 1 Ameraucana/ BR, I left another ameraucana in there but i don't think it made it. Deb, I have 5 buff orps that are developing and will hatch next weekend. I tossed out 12 eggs yesterday, thats a bad hatch rate but i'm not sure if its me or the PO, but i'm going to go with the PO.

Thanks but I'm not hatching anything right now- temps are warm for this time of year with highs in the 40-50 range but lows are sometimes in th 20s and dont want to have baby chicks around and have them freeze.

I'm getting ideas for springtime hatch- want something bantam that my daughter and I can both show. She loves her japs so my daughters plan for next year- is work on blue japs, trying to shorten the length of her black mottleds legs, and breed her btbs they did very well this year- the judge told her to breed father to daughter. so thats her plan any ways.

Maybe I'll get some eggs from you in the spring and see what breeds I like

though this is entertaining- just love the puffy cheeks-

also had some nice excitement cause my maran/wellsummer hen laid her 2nd egg today- caught her on the nest

Just for you reese-

he's the calmest chicken i've had yet. can just pick him up and he's like um ok and you can do what ever you want. then put him back.
his naked neck is mostly covered by his beard and a small patch of feathers in the front

he just wouldn't pose for the camera

He is darling. I finally hatched a white one out myself a NN and it died on me the other day. I think it got cold. The mommy was raising it up.
