I think that if it sinks its a dud but usually thats for eggs you can't candle. They're supposed float and if it starts to wiggle then the chick is alive.

ya, i found it. It looks like they're defin to term, but no obvious rocking, ugh... what to do... I hate this stage of things.

Yesterday was day 21. I'd leave them another 2 or 3 days if you don't need the space.

I put mine in egg cartons just so even if I have to move them they will still be pointing the right direction. oh...I miss hatching but I don't know what it is about this last batch, they are stinkier than all the other ones combined. Maybe again in a couple of weeks

I put some new swap stuff om my page. I'm not sure what sort of stuff everyone's looking for, any suggestions would be great. I don't have any homemade food stuffs right now, I run a non-profit horse rescue here that takes a lot of my time, and the other critters (chickens esp) get the rest. I do have some things I will add tomorrow- I have a lot of horse tack, cat & dog stuff, is that stuff of interest? I have an ample supple of horsehair as well, if anyone does jewelery. I also have some large items-horse harness, horse Sheets & blankets, snowboard, etc. that I would consider doing large side swaps for. If anyone is in need of something particularly, let me know. I do want to say how happy I am this time around with chickens to have become part of such an awesome, helpful group. I'm alone most days with the animals here, but being on this site and talking with everyone makes me a feel like I have a lot of help and support, esp when it comes to my flocks. Thank you. Sorry for the loooong post.
