Yep, they would be combined. I will be setting yours on Monday to make sure they hatch out on Monday or tuesday. I would be shipping yours on the 16th.

Just curious... Reese, how much does it cost to ship 6 chicks? Is it more/less than shipping eggs? I was thinking about putting eggs up on my swap page, but maybe I could put chicks up depending on the shipping price.

I'm so bummed. Ran out of the fancy organic food and have been too busy with ill people to go get it so I figured Purina for a few days wouldn't hurt. I lost one of my Polish to what looks like vitamin B deficiency last night. I just noticed it yesterday and brought them inside. Fed vitamin water and he still didn't pull through. So now I have one quail roo who is still all alone. Not enough silkie girls so one of the boys has to be alone. And now the Polish has lost both her friends and can't be housed with the silkies or mixed flock. Two of the ducks don't get along with the others so they have their own house too.

The reasonable solution is to do just silkies and drop the rest. Nah.

aaaaaaaaawwwwwwww... I'm sorry! It's scary that a change in feed would do that!

I feed Purina exclusively to all my pets from start to finish and haven't had a problem. I'm off to the feed store now though, because water got in a storage container and ruined a 1/3 of a bag. SO GLAD that I caught it before I fed it though!! botulism isn't funny in any language.

A few more days ya'll, and Christmas will be over again, think of the packing up, the clearing of the pine needles, ahh, the smell of a new year... (I'm sorry, I haven't had breakfast yet)

OK if you guys are going to put chicks on the swap, then I can tell my hubby one of my * chicken friends* sent me some babies and I need a bigger coop LOL

Purina is probably fine when they are used to it. That is the only thing available within an hours drive. I just have to say that the old ranchers here always give me grief when I ask about other feeds. It's good nuff for chickens. But then they are always impressed with how nice my flock looks.
So sad when they go looking for the one that is gone.
We say chicken friends too.
