Sorry for your loss.. Countryyuppie.... I feed my flock anything & everything. Wherever I am traveling and see a feed store. They are all healthy & shiny . Some free range, so who knows what they eat. They eat horse poop for the love of Pete.

Sorry to hear countryyuppie..

Losing chickens can be as awful as losing any other beloved pet or family member. Non chicken people just don't understand.
I just wanted to share my chickens morning- it was 50 degrees yesterday! 50! This morning this is what we woke up to..

My chickens were like WHAT the heck?!? And they ventured out a few feet, and went running back to their covered attached covered kennel and just stared at me.. I think they think I did it..

happytraylz that is exactly our situation here too. Yesterday was beautiful and sunny in the mid 40s and this morning looks like your picture. The snow we lost with some warm weather is now covering the ground again. I love a white Christmas. Great picture - thanks!

It costs about $12-$15 depending on where they are shipping to and how much the box weighs. Could be cheaper. Just depends on weight and where they are going to.

That is not bad at all... How much for the boxes ? Do you need any kind of paperwork?

Beth: I just buy the Duck Boxe's at walmart and Buy the Fabric that is just like the ones on the boxes at the fabric at walmart. It cost me $0.88 or less for a box at walmart. Plus $4.00 for 3 yrds of fabric. I cut holes in my own boxes and tape the fabric over the holes so they can breath in the box. I then cut out a viewing hole so it isn't so dark in there and I use my old plastic Diaper bags that the box diapers come in it is a clear plastic and that is there viewing window.

I then use a invoice/product slip and put my NPIP Paperwork in that and attach it to the box and I stamp/Write and tape "Live Birds" all over the box. I have to ship some birds out Monday When I complete the box I will take a picture of it and post it on here.
