Our day time custodian gave me a coffee can full of quail eggs so I hatched them. I had 14 hatch, but one had a wry neck and another a bad leg so I ended up with 12. On day 39 I got my first egg. I decided to move the extra males. I thought there was a lot of crowing (I think it sounds more like growling or saying "look at me"). As luck would have it, I ended up with 11 males and 1 female. Isn't that just my luck.

Well pooh Deb I had 3 orders of  eggs to ship out..all my choice of eggs as I didnt specify what I was sending to whom..for a surprise..if you got the mixed lot of eggs then you have BLRWS and split lav silkie eggs!!!  Those are the very last of  silkies eggs i will ever offer as my roo succumbed to the cold weve been having :hit  Healthy as a horse then I found him in the nesting box...curled up..thought he was alseep but he was gone?.still warm...very muscular and meaty..nothing in his throat..crop full..no,illness

So sorry about your rooster! I put heat lamps in the barn to try and take the chill off. I lost two silkie hens to the heat this summer, they are sensitive . Deb

I almost lost me instead of my chickens. I was out in the hottest hours of the days with the water hose refreshing the ones I couldn't get even ice cubes in buch less frozen water bottles. I sitched them out when they thawed out. The Hottest pen I put a fan in and they hung out around the fan. It's the cold I can't stand. It's so hard for me to get my hands to work when their cold and to keep busting ice is so painful. I'll be glad next year when we have our pens set up the way we want them. They will all have heaters that will keep their water from freezing and they can hang out around the heater too. I read where somebody put a light bulb inside a cinder block.

Yes, but I think I was reading somewhere you could run a few LIKE items in one buy set price auction. Just show like 5 different item pics and say, pic which item you want and and leave the auction open for the rest of the authorized time period of the auction for others to accept your offers on the other items. IDK ok someone jump in here....

I am trying to figure this out myself. What would be the best way to show the largest amount of items with only 10 (which is a lot for some of us) active auctions.

so the auction limit is 10 for plat. membership?
