They are due to hatch today.. no signs of a pip yet.. I am

as I had an egg explode (not yours) so had to do a quick clean up about a week ago.
Shelly

My hatches are usually done on the 20th day, and most of these did not hatch until early day 21. So they may be a little slow. I actually left the bator alone until late on day 21. Amazing how much better my results were. :)

I agree 100-%

I agree! I feel like this has to be the best bunch of people on BYC, for the most part!

Toooo funny! Yup we do tend to ramble on this thread but I think it is very productive rambling and we have grown some pretty awesome friendships. This chat thread had let me get to know who I am swapping with better. I became more comfortable about swapping and paying a bunch of money on shipping because I knew the peeps here were honest decent peeps! Somedays we are sadden about a lose in our family or chicken family other days we are strangling (or want to) our crazy teenagers and somedays we are just logging on to say thank you or hello to a good friend. So to whoever started this thread for the swappers. THANK YOU.

I try to sell any chicks I am not keeping asap. Every two weeks they have a poultry auction, plus I get a lot of referrals from the feed stores. Some people just keep coming back to get more chicks! :) More chicken maniacs:-D

You can either take two to bottle feed, or bottle feed to supplement moms milk. If you give all of them some from a bottle, they all end up very tame and also get the benefits of moms milk. I try to feed every two hours to start , then stretch it out as they get older. Good Luck!

I am amazed and think they are sooooo adorable. What a blessing. I wish I was there to help you!

she doesnt reject anyone. So far she is very attentive to all four. He is checking out now and be home soon to get started.

That is amazing that she hasn't rejected any! What breed is she? Has she had kids before? I don't know much about goats, but I know 4 live kids are very rare! Hope all goes well for you all!
